Listen all of Ya’ll its a SABOTAGE!

Posted on January 10th, 2005 by catalyst into the Uncategorized category

Apparently, late last night someone repeatedly cut and paste an old comment into the comment section, making the comment as long as possible and preventing anyone else from adding a comment.

I am currently working with Blogger to obtain this individual’s ISP address. I will then “out” them and prevent them from posting a comment again.

Thank you for your patience, and I apologize for the inconvenience. I can only assume that tithes must have been down yesterday.

That is hilarious! I guess that should teach all the young folks out there a good lesson. I often remember Jesus repeatedly using this tactic when frustrated by the Pharisees accusations. I tell you, there is an ugly side to those sinister dome-goers! Grow up!

Apparently, only “young” people use the internet as if all older people are ignorant idiots.

I don’t know which Bible you read, but I don’t remember the story in which Jesus cowardly logged-in anonymously and cut and pasted babbling.

Well, by repeating his tirade, our little anonymous night-owl just ensured that none of us will take his/her comments seriously (not that we would anyway, since s/he is clearly 100% entrenched in CBC).

I especially liked the part about whether the bloggers’ pastor “approved,” since that is the part that most illustrates this person’s entrenchment in CBC. I haven’t heard anyone on this blog (outside of CBC-defenders) purport to speak on behalf of any specific local church. Not all pastors feel that it is part of their role to control all speech, behavior & actions of their congregants, nor view such as extensions of themselves. Thank the Lord for that!!!

Hope you can ban this person, Catalyst. Frankly, I think anyone who wants to post anonymously should be banned. Anyone communicating in a technological forum like this should have enough brains to set up a user name.

    Yes, Keanu, I agree…

“I think anyone who wants to post anonymously should be banned. Anyone communicating in a technological forum like this should have enough brains to set up a user name.”
Good job on setting up your user name and then blocking your personal profile. That makes alot of sense.

Wow. You talk of the dangers of hypocrisy and then post anonymously “Wow! It’s amazing how the power of technology now enables a protester to state their complaints from the comfort of their own home in complete anonymity. This way the voice of slander and character assassination never needs to show it’s cowardly face.” In addition, you resorted to the incredibly cheap tactic of spamming your comment ad nauseum as if repeating yourself improves your point. I was open to your argument, and you did make some valid points, but any sympathy you might have gained with me was lost in your tactics. I for one don’t mind remprimanding you for such underhanded behavior, althought I doubt anyone will actually scroll down far enought to read this.

For the record, I am an ex-CBC’er, and no I don’t hate anyone there nor hold any grudges. But I do disagree with the culture that has thrived there and it troubles me when I hear more reports of the same or worse. CBC isn’t doomed as long as there are still good people there(I do still have good friends there), and it is even my personal belief that there are still many good and honest leaders in the church who are capable of changing the environment that they are a part of. I pray they will change it.

As far as your accusation of not showing Christ’s love, I would encourage the authors here to be careful about unfounded accusations and the like, but don’t hesitate to print what you feel about things you think are wrong. IT’S NOT LIBEL IF IT’S THE TRUTH!

Catalyst: visit www.Whathavewedone.org then post it and your job is done. Evidently there are thousands of commited christians leaving the church, so much so that books are being written on the OUT of The Church movement.
