Something Real and Relevant
Posted on March 4th, 2005 by catalyst into the Uncategorized categoryAccording to the City Bible website, Pastor Frank is holding a brunch this Sunday, March 6 at 10:30 am at the West Campus to discuss Forward Together and the future of the church.
Will someone PLEASE attend this brunch, take notes, and email me what is said. This blog was set up specifically for events like this. You can email me at justin.morton@gmail.com.
I really don’t want to have to pay my 11 year old brother to go. Because somehow I think he’ll get all caught up in the brunch aspect of the event. And his notes will be detailed accounts of exactly how many pieces of bacon were available for each person. And that’s not exactly what I’m looking for…

Got you covered Catalyst,
Yes, it’s Saturday and the meeting hasn’t taken place yet, but I’ve been brushing up on my prophetic gifts. I’m getting pretty good, but I’ll still need everyone’s help; lets start speaking in our spiritual language…..
(5 min later)
The Frank would say to you-a, “Give me your money and watch me pour out blessings upon my church.”
“I’ll cover this “city” church with plasma screen TV’s; I’ll replace the carpet and update the lighting” say’s the Frank
“Rise up oh check book of faith, write down a figure far beyond your means, and I shall stretch out my hand and receive this check. I shall take this check and deposit it in the bank of profits, now is the time, this is the season”
Thus saith the Frank

Ahhhh, that’s the Morton way. When in doubt, make it up. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
We’re definately posting that comment after the meeting.

Church Gal has a follow up prophetic song (brace yourself; its going to be a wild ride)
Sung to the tune (Go tell it on the mountain)
When I was a tither
I tithed both night and day
I prayed about Forward Together
And gave my life away
Go, give it at the alter,
past the ushers everywhere,
Go, give it at the alter,
forget your bills and all your cares
PF made me a leader
Upon a City wall
And if I want to stay one
I have to give CBC all
Go, give it at the alter,
past the ushers everywhere,
Go, give it at the alter,
forget your bills and all your cares

You Mortons are just so cool. While most families talk amongst themselves around the dinner table, you’ve decided to talk amongst yourselves in cyberspace… way to go!
