Something to read while I’m out “finding” a wife.
Posted on April 11th, 2005 by catalyst into the Uncategorized categoryI’m going to remember that “wife” comment for the rest of my life. That one statement sums up everything I dislike (and like) about CBC and its congregation.
(Read the comment section in Swan Song)
Anyway, in my haste to fire off a post poking fun at JP and Welly Welly, I forgot to include the link for CBC’s new conference. So here it is:

Check it out. It’s incredible. For the first time in my life, I actually pity the leaders at CBC. They are so hard up for cash, they have to sell their friendship and hospitality.
There was a time when Pastors, invited people into their homes because they genuinely had a heart for their congregation. But, apparently that time is gone.
C’est la vie.

I now understand why I always felt like I was taking up leaderships time when I wanted to talk or make a quick comment. I always felt like they didn’t have time for me. What I had to say would not be a good enough to take up their time. I understand now, tithing didn’t buy me a right to a relationship with leadership. That comes under the special conference fee. How could I have been so stupid. But now I know, tithing wards off the curse, and special offerings and such win you a nod, and for real live fellowship you leave them the title to your house. Well I’m glad I figured it out.

I can remember when BT would send out its own pastors like Iverson to other churches for free and mentor other pastors and churches. It was a labor of love to build up the body of Christ. Now they must be too busy to do it as their job and charge huge fees so they can say “Look at us, we’re awesome!” They have a class on Basic Doctrine??? Yikes! Seriously, if you’re the leader of a church and don’t know the basics already, a 3 hour class on the fundamentals of Christian Faith is not going to cause a Revival in your church. If you still feel the need to charge some poor pastor for that, you need to reexamine your motives. Sheesh.

Does Total Leadership Uncensored allow you access to watch the pastor download porn when he thinks his wife is running the bake sale up on the Butte? Now that’s my idea of uncensored, catch ‘em with their pants down like we all know they do but will never admit they’re capable of doing.

“Re: seeking a wife … let the Lord bring her …believe me, single lonliness isn’t nearly as painful as married lonliness”
I’m sure that’s right.
It’s the “finding” thing that caught me as odd. As though I’m on a “wife” scavenger hunt, but I just don’t have all the clues.

It is funny that they have a basic doctrine class.
“Local church leaders benefit greatly from being clear about what they believe”
I dare you to find a CBC elder not named Ken, Larry, or Lanny that can clearly define what they believe.
I bet ytheir response will be “You know who you should talk to about that, Lanny Hubbard. He’s the expert on that”

A ‘wife scavenger hunt’, now that’s something I need to sign up for. That cracks me up.

Did an usher apprehend you and roll you out the foyer doors in a roll of worn green carpet? Where you at, Cat? We’re worried that while reviewing your Solemn Assembly audio tapes you’ve become disheartened and indifferent toward CBC’s propaganda.

Cmon people… o Brother a lot of slander is being pointed at CBC and its leaders here… And No the Pastors are Not hard up for cash but you should see some of the stuff they Are doing with the money from these conferences and teaching seminars… there is now a Gen Church on Tues. nights over at PSU with 100-130 ppl a night filling the room for radical worship, prayer, and preaching… that is but a drop in an ocean of the outreaches and ministries that are funded by CBC… BTW I am a teen from CBC… I know what im talking about cause i help out and occasionally organize some of these activities…
