I have seen the nipple on your soul
Posted on June 9th, 2005 by Reformed Pope into the Uncategorized categoryRecently the blog was posed with this question:
Question: What fruit does this bare in your lives? Does it feed the Spirit or the flesh? Please read 1 Cor. 6:1-8 and tell me how this public blog of entertainment at the expense of other christians faults (true or false, not the issue)is in harmony with God’s known will? And how, pray tell, is God glorified in all of this?
Instantly I was excited. For one of the first times we were being called out and were not referred to as bitter. Now, I know what you’re thinking, if anything this is one of few scriptures that support the blog.
“And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? 3Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!”
Yes, it supports the blog, but that’s not the point. The point is that someone from CBC actually opened their Bible and found a scripture; they used their mind and came up with an argument. It really was ground breaking.
Later that night I was at a children’s ministry meeting (surprisingly yes, they do let me around children) at my home church, when someone came up to me and said “That was me. I’m 1 Cor. 6.” Shaking my head I responded “What?”
Yes, that’s right people. 1 Cor 6 is not a “think for yourself Christian” from CBC, but rather a confused and sometimes wishy-washy member of the Well. This is the same person who “leaked” the info about L.T. and Ken Ross.
As much as I appreciate your comments, if you can’t print your name then you shouldn’t be posting.
In the words of Elaine Bennis: “I have seen the nipple on your soul”
I expect better from you next time.

“An’ what if I did do it? Even though I admit to nothing, and never will. What does that make me? And I’m not here just defending myself but all those pickers out there who’ve been caught.
Each an’ every one of them, who has to suffer the shame and humiliation because of people like you..
Are we not human?! If we pick, do we not bleed?!

So…if all of us anonymous folk don’t state our name, then I guess this is the “end” of the 6 month ride of blogging our thoughts without disclosing our identity.
Darn, it sure was lively discussing, debating, tearing down, back biting, and destroying the unity of the body without anyone knowing who was typing. I guess we all of us who claim to know Christ should then learn to act, live and type more biblically. (Ephesians 5:29).
Time to grow our backbones folks.

Oh…time to move to identify with the City Bible brand…get back to their salesmen and buy their product. Remember, our consumer culture requires it!

I guess I’m a little lost….
What do the last two posts mean? Are they arguing for or against…..and what? Please clarify, anonymous/anonymi.

The last two posts simply mean this: State your name before stating your thoughts. Grow a spine.

So are you guys changing the rules of the blog? If I remember correctly, you used to only have 2 rules:
1) No names
2) No rumors
Seems like you guys have gone and flip-flopped on both.
I don’t see how this one little incident has caused you to change your mind.
