50,000
Posted on July 7th, 2005 by catalyst into the Uncategorized categoryWe just recently received visitor number 50,000. According to our tracking service, the visitor came from a computer in the Portland area. I believe the computer is from a local company that deals in surface and design. It appears that not only was this person visitor number 50,000, but he or she was also visitors 49,953 - 49,999. We have some very loyal readers.
Me and the pope would like to thank all who visit and comment on this blog. There are a billion websites to visit and yet you choose ours, thank you.

I was hoping to win a year’s worth of tithe for being the 50,000th hit.
What do you think guys?

Congrats, on your “successfull ministry”, maybe you should write a book on how to grow a blog site. Tons of people slow down and watch a car wreck, Paris Hilton’s video got millions of hits, and a pile of crap will atract a bunch of flies so don’t get to excited yet. what is the fruit?

Now help get these flys off me.

Congrats on 50k guys. Just don’t pull a Paris and start a reality show ok?
Hey anonymous, you forget the password to FB or something?

Like it’s been said already, congratulations guys on the milestone.
Two (somewhat recently-painted) brown piles of crap attract a bunch of flies every week. And I think that lots of us are the fruit that fell off the tree of that “successful” ministry and are still trying to roll far, far away.

You fellows have made a very interesting show.
Too often, discussion about Xtianity consists of people who agree with each other checking each others speech to make sure they are doctrinally and politically correct.
It is refreshing to be able to shoot-the-sh*t about Xtian spirituality in a rough and tumble arena where nobody really tries to make each other wrong, and where we can call stand back and laugh at the absurd parts while we try to figure out how we individually approach them.
And it is nice to banter with a group that really thinks very deeply about what it means to identify as Xtian in a (so-far) Enlightenment-based culture.
For example, there is a reference in the above paragraphs that, to the usual shallow thinker, would appear far too irreverent and maybe even blasphemous-at the very least, insulting.
And that shallow thinker would be wrong…oh, so very, very wrong.
Bonus points to those who know what I’m obliquely referring to.
