It’s like the Apocalypse… Only Better!
Posted on January 31st, 2006 by catalyst into the Uncategorized categoryDear Readers:
We are currently trying to re-locate our blog to a different, better domain. Anyway, it is taking us a little longer than anticipated to move the blog, so we may be down for the next couple days. Thus, I ask that you be patient, and let me leave you with a little song to help you with your day:
“Have patience, have patience. Don’t be in such a hurry. When you get impatient. You only start to worry. Remember, remember. That God is patient, too and think of all the times when others have to wait for you!”
Thank you,
Your City Business Blogging Team
(Does anyone remember what album that patience song came from? It’s been driving me crazy for the last 20 years.)

I believe it’s from “Music Machine”

You’re right, it is Music Machine. I love that album.
I just checked I-Tunes and it’s not on there. Songtouch may get their first purchase from me.

Was Bullfrogs & Butterflys on that album, or was that a different album altogether?

Does anyone on here have ilife? I was looking at it last night–looks pretty cool. I think my husband and I are about ready to invest in a mac.

Amazingly, you can still get this on Amazon. The artwork is different that what I remember but I suppose that could evolve.

B&B was a different album. There was also another one that I’m trying hard to remember…It had to do with a little boy and his dog and how his older brothers would get him to do bad things, but he was never to be caught after dark in “Dire Wood”. I still remember the spook James-Earl-Jones-ish voice of singing his gloom and doom when it finally happens. Then he becomes born-again instead of dying in the woods. It’s kinda creepy for a kids’ story now that I think about it. Somebody help me remember the title!

I found it. “Nathaniel the Grublet.” Kids’ stuff from the 70’s could be so weird. Anyone remember the Marty Kroft show? The Bugaloos?

Music Machine, Music Machine, something something something something (? I was only like three!) you’ve ever seen… Music Machine, Music machine….
Gentle Breeze, Gentle breeze flowing through the trees….
Wir wir chicka chicka bum bumps… if you want to hear a song wir wir chicka bum bumps… (what DOES that mean?)
Bullfrogs & Butterflies is from Barry McGuire. You’ll also remember, “Practice makes perfect. Practice makes perfect. I guess if I practice then better I’ll be…”
YIKES… where did all this come from?
January 31st, 2006 at 2:30 pm
Holy crap! Music Machine? Bullfrogs and Butterflies? And, most importantly, Nathaniel the Grublet!?! Those are definitely some names I never expected to hear again. Ahh, the memories. Y’all probably remember Psalty the Singing Songbook, then, too. We had Kids’ Praise 1-6 (I think), and videos of Kids’ Praise 4 (Singsational Servants) and 5 (Psalty’s camping adventure). 3 was my personal fave….with Psaltina, Harmony, Melody, and Rhythm. Psalty totally kicked ass on G.T. and the Halo Express, too…
Oh my god….next we’re going to start talking about Superbook…or [gulp, shudder] Gospel Bill… These are the kinds of things I tell my current group of friends about, and they think I’m making it up.
