MOB BLOGs vs CHURCH MEMBERs
Posted on August 18th, 2006 by Reformed Pope into the Uncategorized categoryI look kindly upon our little mob. We're a strange bunch, spread far across the country each with a slightly different story yet all with one common desire: _______________.
Ok, so we don't have one common desire, but we all love humor, sarcasm, and standing up for TRUTH. This is where it get's interesting. Over the last couple of years, this blog has seen many different arguments take place. More often then not, two apposing sides (Business vs Bible*) run around in circles, beating, bashing, and berating each other until one side decides to grow up and move on. The one common theme that I've found is in this: Both sides often use the same arguments, scriptures, and thoughts to defend themselves.
Example: CM (Church Member) tells MB (Mob Blog) to take the spec out of their own eye before tearing down a church leader. MB then tells CM to take the spec out of their eye before tearing down a blog leader. It can continue like this forever.
Another: Mob Blog feels justified in calling Doug Lasit a "brown nosed reindeer" because they're standing up for "truth" (the brown nose not the reindeer part), but then CM feels justified in calling MB a "jerk" (this is why we always win the arguments, we're much more creative) because they are also standing up for "truth". But both are name calling and are "in danger of the fires of hell".
This of course is followed up by both groups telling themselves how great they are for "taking a stand". Why does anyone still read this blog????
So who's right? Who has the answer? Mob Blogging is quite popular, but then again so is attending church.
Mobs lead, Members Follow.
Members build up, Mobs tear down.
Mobs openly speak their mind, Members talk behind each others backs.
Members treat there pastors with complete respect, Mobs treat everyone with disrespect.
In the end, it's all just one giant mess which leads to the real purpose of this blog:
Laughter.
As the great David Brent once said "I'm here to do a job, if I make people laugh along the way…sue me."

Of course David Brent also once said:
If you want the rainbow, you’ve gotta put up with the rain - do you know which philosopher said that? Dolly Parton. And people say she’s just a big pair of tits.

Members know how to spell.
Mobs don’t know their “their” from their “there” or their “they’re,” nor their “than” from “then.”

Members kiss ass.
Mobs say “kiss my ass”.

Mobsters know that “there” was misused, not misspelled. Than we use it that weigh on purpose.

Mob bloggers create fires. Church members try to put them out.
Mob bloggers have a sense of humor. Church members are the jokes.
Mob bloggers think they are right but are pretty open-minded. Church members know they are right and are pretty close-minded.
Mob bloggers live in poverty because they pay bills. Church members live in poverty because they pay tithes.

Everyone’s a blogger. It’s just that some are still in the closet. Let’s call them Closet Bloggers Crowd.
