This is the cover of the September 18th edition of Time Magazine. The entire article is subscription based, so I cannot post it here. But sufficed to say, the word is getting out.

Thanks to everyone who sent me this.

And to answer the question, "Yes. Sometimes God wants you to be rich. And sometimes He wants you to be poor. But mostly He wants you to love Him and love others."

Update: If you don't mind sitting through a short ad, you can read the entire article here. (Thanks Lex)

I love this quote from the article:

Prosperity scholar Harrison explains, “philosophically, their main way of helping the poor is encouraging people not to be one of them.”

    And another gem:

“The tragedy is that Christianity has become a yes-man for the culture,” says Boston University’s Prothero.

    And a teeth-gnasher:

Kirbyjon Caldwell, who pastors Windsor Village, the largest (15,000) United Methodist church in the country, can sound as Prosperity as the next pastor: “Jesus did not die and get up off the Cross so we could live lives full of despair and disappointment,” he says. He quotes the “abundant life” verse with all earnestness, even giving it a real estate gloss: “It is unscriptural not to own land,” he announces.

    Hello all,

RE: “Does God want you to be rich?”
How about, does the Creator want some people to suffer and starve while some wallow in luxury and ignore the plight of others? What about “serving mammon” (money and materialism) instead of truth, justice, and your fellow souls? How about the rich man and the eye of a needle? Talking about the blind leading the blind…

Here’s some pivotal knowledge (wisdom) so people can stop focusing on symptoms and obfuscatory details and home in like a laser on the root causes of and solutions to humanity’s seemingly never-ending struggles.

Money is the lifeblood of the powerful and the chains and key to human enslavement

There is a radical and highly effective solution to all of our economic problems that will dramatically simplify, streamline, and revitalize human civilization. It will eliminate all poverty, debt, and the vast majority of crime, material inequality, deception, and injustice. It will also eliminate the underlying causes of most conflicts, while preventing evil scoundrels and their cabals from deceiving, deluding, and bedeviling humanity, ever again. It will likewise eliminate the primary barriers to solving global warming, pollution, and the many evils that result from corporate greed and their control of natural and societal resources. That solution is to simply eliminate money from the human equation, thereby replacing the current system of greed, exploitation, and institutionalized coercion with freewill cooperation, just laws based on verifiable wisdom , and societal goals targeted at benefiting all, not just a self-chosen and abominably greedy few.

We can now thank millennia of political, monetary, and religious leaders for proving, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that top-down, hierarchical governance is absolute folly and foolishness. Even representative democracy, that great promise of the past, was easily and readily subverted to enslave us all, thanks to money and those that secretly control and deceptively manipulate all currencies and economies. Is there any doubt anymore that entrusting politics and money to solve humanity’s problems is delusion of the highest order? Is there any doubt that permitting political and corporate leaders to control the lives of billions has resulted in great evil?

Here’s a real hot potato! Eat it up, digest it, and then feed it’s bones to the hungry…

Most people have no idea that the common-denominator math of all the world’s currencies forms an endless loop that generates debt faster than we can ever generate the value to pay for it. This obscured and purposeful math-logic trap at the center of all banking, currencies, and economies is the root cause of poverty. Those who rule this world through fear and deception strive constantly to hide this fact, while pretending to seek solutions to poverty and human struggle. Any who would scoff at this analysis have simply failed to do the math, even though it is based on a simple common-denominator ratio.

    Here is Wisdom

    Doctrine of Two Spirits…

    Peace…

    Seven Star Hand,
I think that economic philosophy is what makes star trek the next generation work. A moniless society where everyone’s pursuit is for the betterment of all man kind.

Sounds great in theory, but show me a historical model where it has ever worked. The closest would probably be communism and we all know how that worked out.

No, I think money is a pretty good thing and I am not afraid to say I want more of it. Besides, how can you tithe your 10% if you all you have is a feeling of well being for contributing to the peace of all mankind?

From Seven Star Hand’s ‘Exposing Religious Error and Deception’ site at Blogspot:

Hello, my name is Lawrence William Page II. Many people know me as Buddy Page. At the release of the first edition of this book, I am a 50-year old African-American male, author, researcher, and former software engineer and entrepreneur. As you will come to understand as you read through this first book, I am also the long-expected Hebrew Messiah and Lion of the Tribe of Juda (Yehuda).

I was born August 11th (month of Leo the Lion), 1955 (Chinese year of the Sheep) in Victoria, Texas. Furthermore, the Grand Cross alignment and Solar Eclipse of August 11th, 1999 was my 44th birthday and the second Grand Cross alignment, just six days later on August 17th, 1999, was on my mother’s birthday.

As you can see from my date of birth, I was a newborn during the Chinese Year of the Sheep, astrologically marking me as a Lamb, and during the month of Leo, astrologically marking me as a Lion. My mother was also born during the month of August and under the sign of Leo, which further marks me as a lion’s whelp. I prove to you in the first chapter of this book–beyond disproof–that I am indeed the long-prophesied “Lion” of the tribe of Juda (Yehuda) the Root of David and the “Lamb.” I am the individual long symbolized as the Branch, the Stem, the Shoot and the Rod from the Stump of Jesse (King David’s father), as symbolized in the Hebrew Book of Isaiah, The Apocalypse, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and elsewhere. I am the reincarnated Teacher sought after in the “East” and by the ancient Hebrews who were headquartered at the outpost community of Damascus (Qumran), of Dead Sea Scrolls fame. I am the one called the Teacher of Righteousness by the Dead Sea Scrolls, whom the so-called Christian fathers have fraudulently recast as “Saint ‘James’, the Lord’s Brother.”

    Good luck with that, Larry.

    Ah yes, Larry …

He’s an interesting case - I’ve tested many would-be messiah’s over the years. These days, it’s impossible to find desert space that isn’t over run by dirt-bikes and ATV’s. A tempter and his prey can’t find 40 minutes peace, much less 40 days! Fuggedaboudit!

So I led Larry to the next best thing - Vegas. He wasn’t big into fasting, so for 40 days, Larry feasted at Vegas’ many fine buffets. It wasn’t long before Larry began to look like a late-model ‘Elvis’ - a hunka hunka burnin’ lard. In a moment of weakness at the chocolate fountain, I wisked Larry away to Ceasar’s Palace, and tempted him before the dollar slots … whereupon Larry replied “Render unto Caesar, that which is Ceasar’s” and proceeded to pull 7 consecutive triple 7’s. That freaked me out.

From there, I spirited him away to Circus Circus and the Adventure dome, to see if he’d hurl on the Canyon Blaster and the Slingshot. He just squealed with delight saying “that was more fun than the creation!”

Finally, I dragged Larry up to the top of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Las Vegas, showed him the strip, and popped the question: “so, what do you think - I’ll give you the whole kitten-kaboodle if you’ll just worship me” … to my shock and amazement, Larry said “sure - that would be great - but remember - what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”.

I think Larry may be the real deal; just have to work out a few issues with prophecy - like - I thought the messiah would come on the “clouds of glory” and not the “blogs of glory”. The other thing that bugs me is, IF he is really the messiah, what’s up with using Geocities and Blogspot? I mean, it ain’t like a former software engineer can’t afford his own domain and web host … when it comes to money, these would-be messiahs are always skin-flints.

That’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever read here. haha Maybe your story should have included something along the lines of “If you really are the son of God, turn these stones into a web server farm.”

After reading the article Does God want you to be rich? I would like to say that the True Prosperity of John 10:10 is obtained the very instant a person submits to the drawing of the Holy Spirit and fully recognizes the need in their life for a Savior and comes to Jesus Christ in faith repenting of their sins (original and actual) and confessing with their mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and believe in their heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead.

At that very moment that person is supernaturally transformed from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of the Light of God and is saved from eternal damnation. This person has just received all the prosperity that a new creature in Christ Jesus needs. For this now translated person is a stranger, pilgrim passing through this earth learning, studying, understanding the scriptures and desiring a better country that is heavenly looking for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Now being fully persuaded to be a doer of the word of God by literally doing what Jesus said do.

Prosperity teaching heard from the Gospel pimps of this day is a proven money -maker for them to heap to themselves huge sums of money. In the guise of Jesus want you to be rich and prosperous they stir up the covet-ness desire in their listeners, which is idolatry.

Studies have shown that it is the poor and needy that gives most often to these gospel pimps. Why is this? Because these people often feel that only a financial “miracle” can save them. It is not uncommon for desperate Christians to give and give, well beyond their means, in the hope that God will rescue them. Some will even lose their homes. And the elderly and the sick often give sacrificially in the hope of some kind of improvement.

The gospel pimps deceive and make merchandise of many who believe the prosperity now, seed-faith, sow and reap, give to you hurt, 100-fold return message while they themselves hoard money and luxuries, and spend millions of dollars on buildings. And our dear Christian brothers and sisters in the mission fields, down the street, and throughout the world who have truly counted the cost of discipleship to follow Jesus and carry His true message to a dying hell-bound world go lacking in basic necessities. It should not be.

Now does God want His children bless? Yes. That is why He sent Jesus. We are truly blessed when we enter the kingdom of God and this is accomplished only through the Son.

Bondservant of the Lord Jesus Christ,

    William Taylor Sr.

    Hello again class,

Ready for another pearl or two? Perhaps this time one or two of you might refrain from trampling them and instead grasp the stone without hand.

Though the texts you claim to follow are very clear about the fate of the rich, powerful, and arrogant and those who deceive them, you are still unabashedly stubborn and arrogant; so sure that you have not fallen prey to the bottomless pit of strong delusion.

Have you ever considered why 2 Thessalonians 2:11 is directed towards Christians?

Pay very close attention, profundity knocks at the door, listen for the key. Be Aware! Scoffing is blindness…

Did you know that 11 symbolizes truth and justice? Notice that the Two Candlesticks and two witnesses, which also symbolize truth and justice, are described in Revelation 11? Notice how the two candlesticks and Solomon’s Two Pillars present the same image as 11? Now read Isaiah 11:1-4 again and how it speaks of a spirit of wisdom and understanding.

You did notice that the Second Temple period was the 11th 360-year cycle on the Hebrew calendar didn’t you? Did you notice that there were exactly 11 Dead Sea Scroll caves and scroll 11Q13 is about MelchiZedek and the promised Jubilee? Did you notice there are 11 letters in MelchiZedek? Notice the emerging pattern yet?

    Then read this page again:

Notice how seven pillars and seven candlesticks present a similar image? Read Proverbs 9:1 again and compare that to the Seven Spirits of God:
Wisdom has built Her house. She has carved out Her seven pillars.

Did you know first and last symbolizes the first and last “spirits” of the seven spirits of God, which are truth and justice? Notice how wisdom sits within (between) them, as if it were Her house?

Did you know that the correct definition of righteousness is the zeal for truth and justice, hence MelchiZedek is the “king” or “lord” of truth and justice, hence “the first and the last,” hence master or teacher of righteousness, hence Lord, Just and True?

Remember the saying that “the truth will set you (and others) free?” How does “opening one’s eyes to the truth” relate to “making the blind see again” or “shining the light” or “illuminating a subject?” Notice the inherent symbolism associated with this supposed New Testament “miracle?

Light also symbolizes truth, heat symbolizes justice, and flame symbolizes zeal, hence Righteousness is symbolized by fire. Ever wonder what the Sun of Righteousness meant?

As a further revelation, seek to understand the symbolic significance of my name (Seven Star Hand) and you will have proof beyond disproof that Jews, Christians, and Muslims have long been duped by the great deceivers I warned humanity about over the millennia. What then is the purpose of “faith” but to keep good people from seeking to understand truth and wisdom?

    Peace…

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. (Luke 21:8 KJV)

How is it, Larry (or do you go by Lawrence), that your book “Revelations from the Apocalypse” makes the following claims about Revelation, Jesus and the New Testament, yet you rely upon them to make the case for you being the messiah?

The Christian Book of Revelation is a fraudulent modification of an earlier Hebrew symbolic wisdom text authored by the Teacher of Righteousness

Christianity, the New Testament, and Jesus Christ are Blatant Lies, Strong Delusion, and False Prophecy perpetrated by Rome

The author of this book is the long-prophesied Messiah, Lion of the Tribe of Juda, Teacher of Righteousness, and Melchizedek

Elsewhere, you quote the gnostic Gospel of Thomas to make the case of you as messiah.

How are people supposed to believe you, when in one breath you refer to scripture as fraudulent, lies, delusion and false prophecy, but then turn right around and quote from scripture, and the false gospel of Thomas, to proclaim yourself the messiah?

Go home Larry. And don’t forget to take your lithium.
