Fightin Spam
Posted on December 31st, 2006 by catalyst into the About Us categoryWhile the legal team of Damazio, Estes and Louman might not be able to kill this blog, comment spam definitely has a good chance. As a result, we installed a couple of safegaurds in the comment section to help reduce spam. It makes commenting a little more difficult, but keeps me from spending all my time deleting comments about poker, porn and pills.
Thanks again to everyone who reads and comments. Your participation is what makes this blog popular and is what makes these new safegaurds necessary. Thank you, so much.
Here's hoping that 2007 is as successful a year as 2006. God has indeed blessed this blog.

What too you so long, Justin? Last night I logged in and there were about 300 comments (SPAM) awaiting approval! That accumulation was just a few hours worth. Wow! I figured it wouldn’t be long before you would come up with a way to fight spam.
Well done.
As someone who knows a little of what you and JP go through to make this blog a fun, spam-free place to visit, thanks ever so much for your effort.

Actually, we were considering a 2 code system, your banks routing number and your checking account number.

LOL. Please enter your CBC tithing number to continue… I like that.
If the spam problem continues, be sure to let the programmer know. There’s probably a few more things he/she can try…

Crikey! I thought I was kidding, but that Darlene Bishop church has just that setup with their I-Tithe system of collecting dough …
