Where in (from) Hell did PF come up with this bunch of crap about God Almighty being so dependent upon 10% of anyones earthly wealth. My bible says that God owns everything. I really can’t see how $200,or 300 or 1000 a month more is going to improve His well being.
I thought all of these years as a beliver and follower of Jesus, that what He wants is your heart, your soul, and spirt. Did I miss the passage that must be there saying he wants all your loot also..? 2Cor.7&8 teaches that we should be givers according to what God puts in your heart…not to place unnecessary burdens upon you….I do know that it is not in God’s way to intimadate and threaten his people with deprivation and or hell if we don’t believe everything a preacher can come up with fleece his flock.@ (TBN Praise-a-Thon Money Raising 101)
My God is very loving, graceful, merciful. He provides my wealth. Not me His.
I always have given generously to the Church, building programs and to the less fortunate people around me, according to my means. I think God still finds me acceptable according to His Word.

They act like God is going to drop over dead if he doesn’t get your sad little amount of money or if you don’t give it’s the end of the world. It reminds me of this quote from Oral Roberts:
“The Lord told me if you (tv audience) don’t give me a million dollars He is going to strike me dead.”
I laughed for a good minute when I heard this. What a psycho. And people wonder why we aren’t taken seriously. Lunacy under the guise of religion AND PEOPLE TAKE IT AS GOLD! If anyone in the secular world would have said this to you: “I have a dream last night and if you don’t give me a million I’m gonna drop dread.” you would look at them like they were nuts but because someone uses God you accept it?? It’s not only lunacy it borderline basphemy!
Jennifer, people do take them seriously, which is the sad thing. If they weren’t taken seriously, they would have been out of business long ago. I truly wish it weren’t so. Their lunacy doesn’t seem to ever stop though. It just goes on and on. Those who have been screwed probably stop supporting them but then there is a whole nother batch of messed up christians who are looking for a way out of their financial situations and these charlatans and reprobates play to another crowd and their coffers fill up again.

I feel for those people I really do but there was rumors of his disgusting behavior for YEARS and everyone ignored that but more importantly the doctrine of the church had been proven heretic in nature YEARS ago. We as Christians can’t stick our heads in the sand anymore. It’s not judging when the doctrine is grossly unscriptual and the leader is being a BLATANT hypocrite.
How do you explain to your 5 year old child what happened to Pastor Ted? Well hun Pastor Ted had to leave because he was having a homosexual affair and smoking meth!?!?! No, you now have to either lie or same something to the child like: “Pastor Ted sinned and had to leave so God could help him”which is going to leave the door open for all kinds of questions especially from an intelligent sharp child. I was 5 in the very late 80′s and I questioned stuff all the time and the kids now a days question things even more! (They also behave 10 times as worse Lord have mercy lol. I almost got beat down by a massive bad 12 year old a few years back. What are you people feeding and teaching your kids?!?! LOL! Grant it I am small for my age and I look very young too especially without makeup but I know for a fact a nine year old isn’t suppose to be my height!)
P.S Please do not get offended when I say “disgusting behavior”. I know some of the fellow Christians here support homosexuality but that’s not what I am talking about. I am talking about the LIES, ADULTERY, and DRUGS. If my husband had lied like this and cheated in this manner with ANYONE MAN OR WOMAN while dabbling in drugs, keeping his job would have been the last of his worries! lol!
I don’t get what’s so wrong with some of them. Sure, some of the stuff I don’t agree with, like the 10% and God CAN’T bless you, but some of the other stuff, so what?
