Here's a letter from someone who's grandmother died believing in Kenneth Copland:
Dear Kenneth and Gloria Copeland,
If you don’t all ready know me I’m Christian Beach granddaughter of Bonnie Parker. The girl who had to watch her grandmother go threw so much pain for her trust in god through you. You didn’t help her by telling her not to go to the doctor. No you told her that the doctor was the work of the devil. Yes I remember some of the stuff from your shows and CD’s. My grandmother would put so much of her money in to checks and some as just cash, so much in fact that I can’t even recall exact amounts. How exactly much does your healing cost, because my grandmother paid with her money and her life? I watch your shows, listened to your CD’s at the same time watched my grandmother slowly and painfully be killed by your word not God’s word your word!!! You can do what you want and say what you want but you can never be forgiven by me or my family for what you did to us. Don’t want the money she sent you back. I just want you to feel the pain that I have felt day after day since she died. How does it make you feel to take a nine year olds grandmother from her? Now the next time you are taking money out of letters and not even reading the at all, think of what you have done to our family by not reading my grandmothers!!! So the next your are flying around in your $20000000 JET, That my grandmother paid with her life!!!
Wow. Someone's a little bitter. Christian probably should have gotten a couple of elders together and then went and talked to Kenneth Copeland, personally. That would have been the Christ-like thing to do. (sarcasm off)
And here's a letter from somone who worked in the KCM mailroom:
There are about 50 people that do nothing but read the mail. It is an Operation of Mail Processing. When the letters were prayed over, it was done in bulk before they were ever opened and most of the time they were prayed over by a Mail Processing person, not a Prayer Minister as Kenneth claims. In answering your question, Kenneth and Gloria never saw your mother’s letters while she was writing them. After the mail is processed, it is kept in a bin for a while and then discarded into the Incinerator. The place where the mail is processed is far removed from where Kenneth and Gloria’s offices are as you probably remember when you toured KCM. KCM operates just like a business. If they didn’t have the Partners and Friends sending in their money, they wouldn’t exist. The people they have placed at the top of the organization (son, John Copeland is the CEO) have not hidden from the employees that everything is “ALL ABOUT THE PARTNERS”.
Can anyone tell me why in the world these people should NOT be paying taxes?

Well, I’m no tax/legal expert, but I’m thinking that the 503 code was setup to help support the concept of separation of church and state, and in a way, promote the freedom of religion by preventing the government’s ability to control religion through taxation. If the government could tax religions, it would be easy for the country to have de facto state religions, something the founding fathers wanted to avoid at all costs.
Still, I believe there is plenty of room for reform for the 503c code. If a church organization is truly non-profit, it should have no reason at all to hide its books from the IRS. Establishing rules for donor accountability is a good step, but it won’t prevent all problems. The government will never be able to tell a non-profit what they can or cannot do with their money - that kind of power would be too far-reaching. But enforcing public transparency of all finances would enable potential donors to rightly decide if the institution is trustworthy. If you know a minister makes twice the average salary of his congregants, how likely are you to contribute to his paycheck?
On a related note, Germany has declared the “Church” of Scientology as unconstiutional.

My name is Amber and i am Christians aunt . I have been around the family for five or more years. I new Mrs.Bonnie very well before she died. How dare u call a child bitter in the way u did since u apparently have not learned all the details! Their have been numorous attempts to contact the Copelands and to this day neither Kenneth nor Gloria will grace us with so much as a phone call! We have heard from John Copeland a few times though. The least these people could have done was offer condolences and the records we asked for but they apparently could care less about how they have hurt us! I promise you that they don’t want to make amends in any way! Just some friendly advise, watch what u say if u have not learned all u can!!!!

This must be what you are referring to?
Just so you know, the whole ‘bitter’ thing is a joke around here, because people who find this blog frequently accuse Catalyst and Reformed Pope (the owners) of being bitter. In fact, they recently they updated their Frequently Asked Questions page to address the accusations of being bitter, typically accompanied by a suggestion that they take an elder and go confront the person(s) they have a beef with.
Catalyst was just being funny about the ‘bitter’ remark, which is why he concluded his comment with the (sarcasm off) comment. Believe me, we feel for you, Amber, and I hope you get satisfaction.

I am not defending KC as I am not involved in this at all. But really if someone died believing in KC and not Jesus Christ that is the problem.
Did Bonny go to KC church? Did she take counsel about not getting medical help from KC church? I really doubt it. Her decision to not get medical help was her choice and hers alone. Not KC or his ministry.
I have much empethy for this family who lost a loved one to cancer. Its always hard to loose a family member. But to somehow place this death on the KC ministry is not only misguided but irresponsible for this blog to continue to post this as it doesn’t even pass the very basic level of responsibility.

LOL nothing I said was hypocritical. This lady made a bad decision to not get medical help. Nobody from KCM told her not to get medical help. Wendell Smith has Cancer and he has chosen to use medical science too.
This whole article is a baseless attack on KCM about a non issue. I can assume you disagree with his doctrines so you will cling onto any baseless claim that you think will hurt his reputation.
I don’t know if KCM has been ethical, legal, or responsible with the money they have, I do know that KCM is in no way responsible for someone who chose with out cousle to not get medical help just because she watched him on TV.

Have you ever done research on mind control? I hate to criticize that is one thing I try not to do! Your comment about believing in KCM instead of Jesus is so very true!!! Innocent people put their life at risk doing exactly that, more less worshiping the wrong God. No my mother didn’t attend their church personally. Her involvement with them was TV, tapes, their magazines, and whatever else they sent her. I have no clue about seeking counsel from KCM I didn’t even know they offered it. What type council are you referring to? Once again you are right mom didn’t seek medical attention, that is the reason I am writing you this comment today. Yes I am placing 98% of the blame on KCM. Before KCM she did seek medical attention, after she did not. I honestly feel you know very little about the circumstances surrounding my mom. I am not a partner to KCM, I have never given one dime to KCM. I am not involved with this ministry at all. I just truly feel this is misdirected anger.
I truly empathize with your situation. I lost my mother-in-law to breast cancer. Its a truly horrible way to die. Like your mother my mother-in-law was a charismatic Christian who went to every sort of “Healing” thing that came her way. From magnets to holy water from prayer to prayer rooms. By the time she started Chemotherapy it was too late. She died within 6 months. I really understand what your going through.
But you say that 98% of the blame you put on KC. This I just do not understand at all. He never told anyone to not go to the doctors. His family and him use medical doctors when they have illnesses. His church doesn’t teach not use doctors. This is not one of those denominations that preaches not to use medical science. I could understand it if it was .. But that is not what this is. So why would, how could, you put any blame on KCM?

Is very sad, That you don’t know the word of GOD. We do and is full of blessing, we talking about health, money, wisdom and so many other things.Tha sad thing is that you may never experience none of that. why?

Dear Christian Beach, I’ve been aquainted with KCM since 1986,and have been in EMIC. My wife & I are also elders For Morris Cerullo World Evangelism. We’e seen a lot over the years and we’ve seen every ministry type from genuine charlatans to true God-called, anointed & Holy Spirit-gifted, God’s best & most productive. EMIC is the most mature, loving & effective church I have ever personally been in. The way they do things is right & scriptural. Looking at the over all deeds & effectiveness of this ministry, it’s obvious to me, (I used to be a Babptist & was told K.C. was of the devil), by the works K.C.M. does that this is the real deal And K.C. IS one of God’s generals. I know that if you’re in the army, and you trash the general, you’re going to have trouble. Like you have been advised before, the decision to not get medical attention was ultimately Grandma’s. Lots of people believe, yet still die. That’s God’s business. Why hurt your own soul looking to be offended? Do you think for a minute that your grandma would want you to destroy your own relationship with God, because you’re letting this offense keep you upset? I think you need to get understanding on warfare; the spiritual kind. You may not know it, but satan’s always in spiritual warfare, and one of his favorite weapons is OFFENSE. Please, it’s unwise to come against a man of God, because what you plant….always comes up! My advice to you is to repent, write KCM a line tell them you held this against KCM an that you’re sorry, They’ll forgive you. That’s the Bible way to get over an offense… admit it, quit it, then forgivness comes. It may be tough for you, but I wonder if you’ve seen the situation from granny’s viewpoint? We all have offences to deal with. This is the only way to overcome them. To all others trying to “egg her” on, You want to come against God’s servant? Help yourself!

Just curious, have you a comment on the headline news events involving KCM? The one that I feel tops them all, is located on the website http://www.wittenburgdoor.com/copelandclips. This one features Ken himself, but there are so many more to choose from!!!! CBS, NBC, CNN,ABC,FOX or just type ( KCM latest news releases), or (Kenneth Copeland & Mike Huckabee), in the search engine of your choice. Also Sara Posner has a new book out God’s Profits found at http://www.amazon.com/Gods-Profits-Republican-Crusoduct-description/0979482216 the introduction is self explanatory in explaining the purpose of the book. You may criticize my family all you feel the need to, but after reviewing a few of the numerous news releases visible throughout the web or just flip on your local news, it is very clear KCM put this noose around its own neck…. with no help from any of the Parker family. There is so much information out right now with so much more to come!!!!! Just in case you feel you will not test your faith by viewing any of these informative clips I suggested, I would like to get you comment on one more fact. For three years we have requested a copy of my mothers (Bonnie Parker) donations, with no luck of any sort! Senator Grassley then requested certain financial documents, no luck either. Then surprisingly as plain as day in the first vidoe clip I listed of Ken himself, he is now saying he will go to jail before turning any of it over, WHY??? There is only one reason I can think of, what ’s your comment? Your devotion to this scam in the past was simply sad, perhaps you were also blinded from the truth just like my mom was.
