How to bring more people to Christ?

Protest Starbuck's old coffee cup logo. A group of Christians in San Diego is challenging the sexual content of an old Starbuck's logo that the company is now placing on some coffee cups.

I do believe this is spelled out in the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19,20.

"Therefore go and find unimportant, uncontroverisal issues, protesting in the name of James Dobson, Pat Robertson, and Kenneth Copeland. Teach America to become increasingly annoyed with your lack of priorities and your obsession with wealth. And surely I am with you always, though embarrassed by your inability to understand the basics of grace and compassion."

  1. Apparently, the fringe group calling for the Starbucks boycot (sic), The Resistance is led by Mark Dice (formerly known as John Conner) who is also selling a 9-11/New World Order/AntiChrist conspiracy book. Although even with all of the media attention, Dice doesn’t seem to be making much money off the venture. His chipin.com fundraising widget shows that $7 has been raised — far from the $1000 goal (but enough for a Starbucks venti vanilla soy latte).

Of course, like nearly all fringe right-wing website, there is the obligatory Ron Paul 2008 web banner ad too.

In semi relation to the above….how about the CA Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage. We are gonna have every hardcore, right wing conservative swarming are state now!

So I wonder…how should a Jesus loving, grace-centered, humanitarian compassionate Christain feel about this?

Pppfffffttt. Even I made more then him by simply flat-out asking for people to give me money. I figured — why should I go to "ministry school" and learn how to manipulate people so i can get rich, when I can simply just ask for their money… straight-up. And I didn't even have to exploit my religion. Seems to have worked. Maybe I should write a book. lol. (And yes — I tithe on what people give.)

This is what CityBusinessChurch is all about…hilarious…you know, I think I like our Bible a lot better than theirs.

  5. The Resistance says the new image “has a naked woman on it with her legs spread like a prostitute,” Mark Dice, founder of the group, said in a news release. “Need I say more? It’s extremely poor taste, and the company might as well call themselves Slutbucks.”

This was my fave paragraph in the article, though it did cause me to pause and double-check that I wasn’t reading Lark News or something.

    crazy………

Slutbucks. That’s funny. Though it makes me think of horny deer. No pun intended. Well, ok, maybe it was. :-)
