Say Thank You.
Posted on June 10th, 2008 by Reformed Pope into the Things Dougie wouldn't do categoryI'd like to take a quick moment to say thank you to all the faithful contributors to this blog. Over the past few months our little blog has averaged over 500 unique visitors each day. I don't know why you are coming by and I don't care. You can love us, you can hate us, you can just be so damn bored at work that you need anything to give your self a break…it doesn't matter. To any and all who stop by…Thank you.

I wonder if this website receives more unique visitors then Frank’s website? It would be interesting to compare stats, with regard to who has more eyeballs.
Outside of their bubble, I don’t see Frank having too many unique/new visitors…. whereas this site has had 362,022 unique visitors since Feb 06.
I love that a google search for “Frank Damazio” results in this site coming up in the 3rd slot:

RP, ahhhh! You make me blush. What I thought was a raindrop turned out to be a tear in my eye, right next to the beam.
I have been lurking for almost two years and finally decided to join some of the conversations for all 3 of your reasons, plus one more which is to connect with some of the old timers from the 1981-1994 ish era. I sat under David’s teaching during the PBC daze and it’s a pleasure to see his writing and thoughts. David, I still teach the book of James using the method you taught me.
To all the nabobs of negativity that recoil in horror and revulsion as they stumble across the blog, I for one am inspired to find people that have experienced BT/PBC/CBC and are continuing to live their lives in service to our Lord and striving for the narrow path.
I don’t feel guilty any more for enjoying a nice microbrew, reading Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris and the Koran to be better equipped to share Christ with my friends and colleagues. Lest you think I’m sliding backward into the abyss, I read my Bible too! I said a bad word a month or so ago, and now go to movies. I also wear shorts to church (to qualify, I’m not speaking of boxers or briefs but the cool cargo type). I have not left the faith, it has deepened. I no longer feel an exterior pressure to conform, but pray that that the Holy Spirit would renew me from the inside out.
The bubble experience (mine, I’m not trying to imprint my experience on anyone else) for better or worse, I suppose both; has made an enormous impact upon my life. That’s why I visit here. Not all of my experiences were bad, there are some thing that I really liked at BT. There were others though that caused my departure.
I realize that this blog is populated heavily with youngsters and I don’t know the current culture at CBC, maybe shorts are allowed now. Maybe I should go back and visit some day. Maybe I won’t.
Oh, and one more reason comes to mind - cuz Joebib is a cyclist.
Well, this was cathartic! Thanks again for the encouragement.
