Nice to hear from our old CBC friends! Thanks for the link.
I also thought of you guys recently after we posted this on our blog. Checking up on this guy, I was not surprised to see Judah Smith connected.

No, but when people produce stuff like this it sure doesn’t help calm people down…

Oh how I love the whole anti-Christ thing! Some people even have all of these strange beliefs about which modern countries (China, Iraq, Iran, Russia, etc) are somehow represented in the book of Revelation. For the record, there are only four references to anti-Christ(s) in the entire Bible (two references to one anti-Christ, and two references to many anti-Christs)
No, Obama is not the anti-Christ. No one is. There never will be an anti-Christ because the “anti-Christ” is a literary construction that only makes sense in light of the entire apocalyptic literary cannon.

This is one of my pet peeves as well. Constructing dogma (I can’t bring myself to call it “doctrine”) out of passing references taken completely out of context seems to be a fundamental tenet of Biblical study amongst charismatics, and especially at CBC. In spite of being taught not to do that at PBC (they still teach hermeneutics, right? please?).
Accusing people of being “the AntiChrist” is mud-slinging of the worst kind. It’s the modern equivalent of witch hunts minus the burning at the stake.
