A Word Of Encouragement

Stupid Idiots writes:

You all are a bunch of sad sack idiots that need to get a life……………………………………….

Dumb asses one and all

You think that you are so import that you need a validation code, you think way to highly of your lousy self.

Well what do you know…even after all these years they still come in like this.  If I am reading my Bible correctly, Jesus didn't make the Pharisees too happy either.

Good job people, good job.

  1. Why is it that you are knocking Ed Schefter down? What has he done that was wrong? Yeah so he planted a church and asked for money to support it. That is how it works. You need support to plant a church. My wife and I are doing the same thing and we are in need of financial support does that make us bad people?
It amazes me that because Eternity is very similar to Heavens Gates…that he is getting ridiculed! The last I knew…Heaven’s Gates is very similar to scripture and noone is saying anything about the Sunshine Evangelistic association about ripping off scripture…..lighten up….it is all for God’s Kingdom. How many Pastors Preach the same sermon with a different title? Give me a break!
I think that you should get off your soap box and tend to your own walk with Christ or maybe your lack there of….

  2. NYC needs a city church, about like every street corner needs a Starbucks.

Seriously, why does someone consider planting a church in downtown NYC an “outreach” or a “work for the Lord”? It ain’t like the gospel has never been presented there before.

The likelihood of reaching someone anew for Christ there is next to nil – membership is likely made up of people who are already Christian and just changing churches / church hopping.

So the truth would seem to be, the NYC church plant has everything to do with the pride of man and the need of a man to boast in the flesh of others – as in – look at the fish I reeled in …

The word “delusional” comes to mind about the whole deal …

  3. to jp: :(

But you do what you have to do. There are a lot of blogs out there examining the teaching of mega-churches, but none of them do it with such humor. I get done reading here, and I’m laughing — even if it’s with a touch of sadness because it’s true.

Grace is good. I love grace. But like my pastor-friend said: beware of being more “merciful” than God. In other words, we should not accept what the Lord does not.

Finally, I’m so glad you are going to deal with all that bitterness.
