A Quick Note on Comments

Commenting on this blog is a privilege; it's not a right.

After five years of this blog, I'm tired of rehashing the same arguments over and over again.

So, if you're going to write a negative comment, please make sure it is well written and that it moves the conversation along.

Bonus points for actually being funny.  The best negative comment we ever got, was "The Morton boys traded Christ for a Beer."

We quote that comment all the time. Cracks us up.

  1. I guess I’ll abuse the privilege of blogging by providing this OT tidbit of information that folks around here might be interested in:

Wednesday 9 JUN 2009: Judah Smith will be preaching at Lakewood Church. You can see it live, service starts at 5:30PM Pacific.

This is probably now the most prestigious pulpit in the country so…

I’ll just say that I visited Lakewood in person when John Osteen was pastoring and…

Well I’ve said enough. Love everyone!

  2. Wow Jonah, oops I meant Judah has really made it big time. Haven’t been to this site in awhile. Nice to be back.

  3. Wasn’t sure where to post this…

Anyway, have any of YOU heard of something called the “Doctrine of Inspiration”? Sounds new agey or buddhist or something, but of course, I can’t imagine there’s anything super inspiring about anything except beautiful music or being inspired to share the Gospel after reading the Word. So, any thoughts on it?

The link I was purusing (spelling?) tonight is the following from the PBC Online Program demo list…

See the free lecture under “Basic Doctrine”. I may be totally off-base, here, but I don’t remember anywhere in the Bible where Jesus tells us to “inspire others”. Maybe I just need to listen to it and I’ll be enlightened in my understanding of what it means to have knowledge in the “Doctrine of Inspiration”. Yeah, any thoughts? I’m drawing a blank.
